Hempstead Consulting has developed a simple to use Excel toolkit that can give shippers the ability to select a carrier, a tariff year, a service level and then enter their minimum charge, their discount percentage and the prevailing fuel surcharge and the tool will calculate the carriers expected rates. If the user is billed electronically by their carrier and has the knowledge to do pivot tables then the carrier tool can be used to do cost comparisons between former rates with a specific carrier or to do comparisons between carriers for specific service levels. The tool is available to shippers by sending your name, title, company, address, phone and email address.
